Welcome to our site - Tracy Parsons / Shane Bell, our retail management team and the staff will endeavour to provide good service with a smile.  Illawarra Store's mission is to provide the local economy with a viable enterprise that will enrich its social and economic development while providing an important service to community members and client organizations. We aim to provide community members with access to training, employment, banking facilities, hardware, whitegoods, entertainment sources, fuel and healthy food.

Where are We!

Jigalong Community is located approximately 1070km N/NE of Perth, 520km SE of Pt Hedland & 165km east of Newman on the edge of the Great Sandy and Gibson Desert, in the Shire of East Pilbara. Jigalong has a pastoral lease and five Outstations, being Walgun, Billanooke, Puntawari, Ngalkanginya and Robertson Range. 130kms to the east is the well known ‘Canning Stock Route’, alongside the community is the “Rabbit Proof Fence”; made internationally famous by the movie of the same name and it sits next to the 165km long “Jigalong Creek” which is fed by Pickering & Watch Point Creeks.
